In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
